The biggest mistake that online daters make is overusing adjectives. They are "witty, intelligent, down to earth, and unique." And their mom says they're special, too.
If you were really witty, you would incorporate some humor into your About Me. Intelligence should shine through in emails and conversation. Being down to earth and unique should come across in your writing style and answers to profile questions. Adjective overload is a rookie mistake, but is easily fixed.
I get that those quick, descriptive words are neccessary from time to time. But lists are a definite don't. Eliminating adjectives (or at least spreading them out, for crying out loud) will instantly make you more original.
