Fail To Fab: The Obsessive Caller

Fail: One time, a guy I was newly seeing called me at 8 a.m. I was getting ready for work, so I figured I’d call him later — no biggie. Thirty minutes later, he sent me a text. Again, no big deal. By the time I was done for the day I had three more missed calls and a few dozen texts. All from him.
Fab: It’s normal to want to spend your day trying to woo your new love interest, but nothing kills the mood faster than an obsessive caller. Unless there’s an extreme emergency, you shouldn’t make multiple attempts to contact a person in a 24-hour time span — especially if it’s someone you’ve just started seeing.
Sure, technology can sometimes be unreliable. We’ve all sent a text or an email that’s ended up in a black hole somewhere. If you haven’t heard from your guy or gal after a few days, there’s no harm in calling them just to check in and say hey. But leave it at that if this person isn’t returning your rapid-fire texts.
Though waiting around might make you antsy, give the other person ample time to respond.
Remember: Showing you’re into your new boo is adorable and sweet, but interest should never equal fixation. The last thing you need is an Obsessed-like relationship, right?
