Whether it's the first meet-up or a second date , cold weather is the lastthing you want to worry about. You'd probably rather focus on getting some quality one-on-one time with that special someone, and we couldn't agree more. So with that said, you should stop thinking of cold temps as a mood killer! After all, it’s a perfect (and totally acceptable) excuse to get cozy. Here are some of our top ideas for great winter dates, whether you want to be adventurous outside or snuggle indoors!

1. Indulge in a Hot Chocolate Tour.  Bar tours are so overrated. (No, just kidding!) While whiskey rounds are amazing, there’s something a bit more romantic about drinking hot cocoa in chilly weather — and you’ll definitely appreciate that extra warmth. Why not spend an evening trying out different specialty creations, from coffee shops across town and back to the cozy café around the corner? Only one rule for tastings: sharing is a must!

2. Play Board Games.  If you want to spice up time spent cuddling in front of a fireplace, playing board games will definitely stoke your competitive, flirty spirits, not to mention that romantic connection. Plus, with universal classics like Scrabble, Battleship, or checkers, you can make it as playful — or racy — as you choose. (We’ll leave that part up to you.)

3. Take a Wine Pairing Class.  It might be a bit too chilly to visit a winery, but don’t let that stop you from sampling. Winter is the perfect time to gratify that interest indoors. Romantic and classy, learning about wine-food pairings together might just elevate your conversation — and your chemistry — to a new level.
