Dream Team: Top 5 Wing-Women

By Amanda Rodriguez, Copy Cutie

The dating scene can be a jungle at times, and when setting off on a safari, no one should venture alone. It’s important to have the right kind of team backing you up on a reckless night out. The hunt serves no purpose when it’s every (wo)man for herself. Much like the Fierce Five who brought home gold in the 2012 London Olympics, it’s important to have the right kind of wing-women on your team to make a night out successful.

Now, while your team may already be assembled, what if you could choose any five women to be on your wing team? Here’s the list we came up with:

Gwyneth Paltrow:
brought Iron Man’s Pepper Potts to life with undeniable spunk and a get-it-done attitude. She is the business savvy babe holding down Stark industries. In real life, Gwyneth's attitude is quite similar. She is an accomplished actress, as well as a kick-ass mother and wife. She's that friend that can do anything and will always help you do the same.

 Jennifer Lawrence:
Playing the kickass role of Katniss in Hunger Games gives Jennifer the kind of sporty edge that men fall to pieces for! Not to mention Lawrence doesn’t hold her tongue for anyone, especially reporters. What she also brings to the table is a sense of realness that will weed out the men who will undoubtedly approach you with weak game.

Salma Hayek:
While it may have been a while since she played a mysterious role, there’s no more alluring a woman to have on your side than Salma Hayek. Her presence demands attention, and the Spanish accent always helps attract notice. Salma is the friend who captivates a group of men and brings them right over to your table; in other words, she hooks and reels them in.

Mindy Kaling:
Nothing attracts a group of men like the sound of women laughing. With a wing-woman like Mindy, your clique will definitely be laughing! Between her sarcastic puns and her overall humorous demeanor, she’s sure to be a ball of entertainment all night long.

Oprah Winfrey:
With a woman who’s accomplished so much, it’d be hard not to want such a charismatic woman on your team. From movies, to her own magazine, to her own network, Oprah is a total powerhouse that demands respect. And who wouldn’t want to go out with someone who could buy the bar?
